We as historians can incorporate native voices and decolonize their history. Throughout the ages, their history has been colonized to ‘preserve’ white American history and keep a certain image about the white Americans. By decolonizing and listening to native voices, historians can bring their stories to light and show a better understanding of their history. By moving away from bias stories, historians can get a better understanding of native stories and create a better narrative of native survival that is relative to today.https://www.culturalsurvival.org/news/9-ways-decolonize-and-honor-native-peoples-thanksgiving hearing native voices is something historians can do to help decolonize.
