The U.S. colonist period fed deeply into imperialism because settlers would literally come from a different country and seize control of land with the power of man, weapons, or money without the permission of the natives. People came to the U.S. for opportunity and freedom and knowing that people other Native people live there was the least of their problems because they thought of them as less of a Human. As mentioned in (2022, May 12). Imperialism was built on Settler-Colonialism. Hood Communist. The settlers annihilated the Natives through warfare and Disease and stole their land when coming to settle. But as always the history books wrote lies of the settlers taming the lands and bringing civilization and life to the land. These lies convinced people that the horrors that they did were not true and it was a civil thing. Settlers came and brung in African slaves and also enslaved the Natives of their land stripping away their culture and their freedom which causes huge turmoil and many treaties to be broken with the natives.
